Besides SOHC Hondas....What things are you guys nuts about?
« on: January 03, 2010, 09:07:26 AM »
Post up some pictures of the goodies that win your attention over your bike from time to time.

I have an obsession for wooden boats, have owned 3 or 4.... My latest is the "Flashy Taxi".... 1959 Chris Craft 25'... First year of the 283 GM smallblock, rebuilt / restored everything with new edelbrock manifold and carb... sleeps 4...check it out

Its fast, and fun.

And beautiful! I love wooden boats, never had or ridden in one. But I have always thought they were much more appealing to the eye.

As for me... I don't think I have another obsession right now. At some point I want to build a land speed bike. But that's more of a dream than an obsession... Love my lady and kid to death, but still not an obsession. Hmm... My girl would say I am obsessed with this forum. 2 1/2 mo since I joined and I am sitting @ 4 days 7 hours and 16min logged in... She may be right!

Okay, besides drooling over  the Mopars that 6pkrunner has, I've got my own reasons for ME to drool now!

I'd put a photo of Brenda, but you ALL KNOW how I feel about her! The rest of this is SMALL POTATOES compared to HER! ;)

I'll tell ya, the Tough looking boats, the nice guitars, Jeff's cats and all are really something, but when I see cars like 6pk's

       69' road runner

      and the 69' Charger R/T

      REALLY get my heart Pumping!

I am in no way trying to downgrade anyone else's opinions, I'm just head over heels for the Mopars. I mean like 6pk's Buick Wildcat Convertible is choice, but I'd go for the road runner or the Charger R/T, if given a choice.

Course, NOW, I can go out and look at my own 69' GTX and get a real warm feeling AND have a sense of Brenda being there as well. ;)

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

oops, didn't realize. I just thought you were mentioning the family and I thought that was nice.

Not that I don't appreciate my Daughter Karla and my Dad, I am embarrassed to say that I didn't even think of mentioning them. The things I DID mention, help me to keep my mind functioning since the passing of Brenda and I guess that's why I said what I did. My Mom always did say that she thought I was half Car/motorcycle. :)

Drat, seeing those Peavy amps reminds me I sold my Peavy Raptor, couldn't play it for crap but liked to dig it out every now and then just to annoy the neighbours and scare the cat. ;D
