I Am Begginning To Think That I have been Moved Up North!
« on: January 03, 2010, 01:49:19 PM »

Yeah, if I didn't know better, I'd think that somebody moved me while I was asleep! The temps for the next few days, is supposed to be in the 20's or so, with some dips down into the teens during some days and into the single digits at night (for a few nights as well)! Also Snow predicted off and on for the week, starting today! :-\ I thought I lived in the SOUTH! Starting to feel like I've been moved toward the North, at least, somewhat! :o

How am I supposed to get the bikes out to run them every few days, at this rate? Also, I was going to do a Complete brake Job on the GTX, but not NOW, not out there on the Driveway! No Way! Call me what you will, but I ain't even gonna THINK about it til, the temps come up a BUNCH AND there's NO Precipitation of ANY KIND!  :P

Seriously, Sure am glad I don't actually live up there where this stuff is so frequent. My body ain't built for that. ;D

Yeah, I love how ya go along, have some cold weather, next thing ya know, it warms up pretty nicely for a couple of days and then, BBBBBRRRRRRR! The temps drop, have some snow and frozen streets for a bit. Then, the next thing ya know the temps will come up, temp you into thinking the worse is over and it happens all over again! ::) Folks get sick and we wonder why? ::) Ah, but I guess that's life. ::)

Yeah, but You are in the North (spelled COLD, in the Winter) AND I'm in the SOUTH (spelled, should be warmer) I mean you are about 11 and 1/2 hours North of Arkansas.

There should be more of a difference in Temps than that. Understand what I'm saying?
I don't envy the temps, ice and snow that you all endure. To US, down here, this IS cold. I've gone through worse winters, like in Northern Japan. But I was a lot younger then and could handle it better. I ain't so young now and can't handle it near as well.

At any rate, I'll sure be glad when Spring gets here. ;)

our highs are going to be in the 30's all week with lows in the teens. a friend in Atlanta told me that with windchill it was 6 last night.

Now, THAT would make a difference!  :o 8)

Say, I Just HAPPEN to have a 79' Cb750 that's had the rear axle and wheels from a 3 wheeler stuck on there and wondered what I was going to do with it. I even considered stripping it down, keeping the bike parts and ditching the rest. Hmmmm!  Maybe I could do a "Summer Project" and build something to "Play with" for the Winter. That way, I could be assured of No Snow! Cause, IF I had something that would make it FUN, It WOULD NOT HAPPEN!  ::)  BUT, if it DID come a SNOW and ice job, I'd be READY! ;)  YEAH! Thanks for the suggestion! ;)

My body ain't built for that. ;D

you don't even know what cold is yet.

hows -50*F with the wind chill here.  or -45.5 *C....

love the seasons here... can be 95*F in summer......and then the above in winter.

Supposed to get 3" of snow over the next day or 2 again to add to the already ankle deep snow. :D

here is my bobber last February

AND, IF I had chosen to live where it gets THAT cold, I would learn to expect it. I Have been to Northern Japan, where it snowed most of the year from about Sept. til May (I think it was) and while I don't remember the temps, It was COLD! When you are used to temps getting down in the 20s to 30s, is one thing. But, the temps start getting down in the teens during the day AND single digits at night (4 -6), IN Arkansas, it's time to get serious about warm clothing and such. Remember I live in the SOUTH, not up North. ::) :) Now, where do YOU live anyhow? Cause I sure don't want to move there, as if I would move anyway. If I did move, it'd be further SOUTH for warmer weather. As I get older, I get COLDER QUICKER. I've seen my share of different seasons and it would suit me just fine, if it got nice and warm and stayed that way. ;) After all, the more warmer weather we have, the more I get to ride. 8) The CBX and GPZ are sitting here just aching for an OUTING! And I am Just Aching to Give Them an Outing! ;D For you all who enjoy your weather, I am proud for ya. But, it AIN'T for ME. ::) ;)

Regina Saskatchewan Canada.  Almost right in the center.  ;D  flattest of flat prarie....no corners at all.

Dad said when his great grandpa came here for the first time (in the middle of a blizzard) he said it was so cold he wanted to get back on the train back to the old country, but he couldn't cause he had his family with him.  I always figured it was summer when they came. :D
