Hi, i posted earlier under the "what did you do with your bike today", but i don't wanna hijack that thread.

Can you guys help me ascertain what is "rare" nowdays, from the 69-74 models? Things to look out for in the pile of "loot" , that might be unobtanium (and so i don't chuck out something i will regret) :-\

Basically (thanks to the forums) i recognize all the  stuff, but am not versed well enough in CB lore to ascertain years etc.
I searched the forums(if i missed a thread please point me in the direction).

The only bits that stand out in my mind(back at home now, bikes are kept elsewhere) were:

Non-locking gas caps x2
Airbox-not 74 or 78 type.(My two current bikes)
2x spoked/disk rear wheels
Clocks, most with instrument lights inside
headlight ears(no indicator mounts)-not 74 or 78 type.(My two current bikes)
Oil tank 1x with another tank below it(rusted)??? (re-blow system?)
Zorsts(m300??)

So if you have an idea of what to look for,or whats rare, please let me know.

+1 on the hm300 pipes we all want them.In your other post the bike in the front looked earlier because the ignition had a round plug connector. If you get a chance write down the serial numbers on the engine case and others if you have them and report back. Frames should have serial #'s also. We can date them with those.  Check gas tanks for wrinkles under the filler cap. Later.  Eric
