Stuck stud
« on: January 01, 2006, 06:02:31 PM »
Well I have one stud that won't come out with the double nut, or stud remover how much heat is needed when using a tourch(butane torch) and where should the heat be directed to, I assume to the case  around the stud and not directly to the stud. I have it soaking in penatrating oil right now but that seems not to be doing the trick. Thanks l

The Heat should be Directed around the stud on the Case. Not too much.Just enough to make the Oil Soak into the threads.Don't wait until it cools off to spray it.Spray it while it's Hot.WhatKind of Penatrating oil are you using?I always use Aero Kroil or Sea Foam.I've heard that PB Blaster works good but have never used it.

Is there a Shoulder in the Middle of the Stud? Try Heating,Spraying and Using a Pipe Wrench.

If you can get a pair of vise grips as close to the case as possible without touching and work with a wrench on the double nut at the same time. When you get it started, work it in the opposite direction slightly every so often on the way out and continue to add your penetrating oil.

Just think how young you feel now that you have the lowering blocks on BB.

Growing older in mandatory, growing UP is optional.

I tell the better halve that I'm feel like I'm only 21 (instead of 37), she tells me I act more like 21. ;D

OHhhh-just noticed-the postings on here are showing 2 hours later than my time - I'm on Colorado, so postings evidently record the East Coast time in USofA!  So when I posted last night, I was on Jan 3rd,  10:36 PM but post went up on Jan 4th - 12:45 AM - hmmmmm am I always going to be 2 hours behind??

Linda (getting all dolled up-...which means NO JEANS!!)

And James, I "think" I'm 25...but body is actually much more than double that!  So I get so frustrated when I start to do something...and body just flakes out!  Such as getting up from garage floor...getting harder and harder to pop up with my legs - starting to think I need a cane!!

Linda

nothing wrong with using a cane to get up off the ground, just don't start to depend on it for walking, took me 5 years the first time I hurt my back, a year this last time.  A multi piece one is real nice so it can be made small to fit in small places.

Also, you should be able to change the time difference in your profile prefs.

Happy late birthday, my family had three - wifes was on the 2nd, dads and nieces on the 3rd.

Married 26, almost 27 years-plenty of fondling, but don't tell our 3 kids...they think we fondled only TWICE (we had twins!!)  ;...they get COMPLETELY grossed out if they even think we're thinking of fondling!!! Hahahaha-jokes on them!

LOL
DH and I are taking 'BLING-BLING" to dinner tomorrow!!!! SSSSoooo funny, I left him a voice mail today saying "BLING-BLING will be ready at 6:00 on Tuesday, where are we taking her out for a night on the town!"  Luckily, he enjoys that kind of stuff!

Mick!  Fellow Capricorn!  Isn't it great to be the "start" of the year!!!  No waiting all year for a b-day, get it over and move on!!

Will you make a reservation for three? Will you let bling-bling choose the courses or will you choose for him?  HA HA Cheers Raul

NO BLING-BLING did not order our courses!  We went to local steakhouse, and we had to listen to the WORST 2 man country-western band!! (Either the guitars were out of tune, or the guys can't hear a beat at all....every song was sung half beat behind the melody...VERY unappetizing, but with enough Margaritas...you'll put up with anything! LOL)

Anyway, BLING-BLING is happy in her new home, on my right pinky...and she looks MAHVALOUS DAHLINGS!!!
