I have taken apart my engine for a rebuild and want to replace the cylinders due to some broken fins.  There is otherwise nothing wrong with my cylinders, but I want them to look good.  I know that if I use a K head, some of the dowels and o-rings are different.  Is it feasible to use 75-76 cb750f or cb750k juggs?

Your asking two things..........all 75-76 f units are interchangeble with k units.  The black 77-78 f jugs do not fit on k crank cases. The 77-78 f heads will fit on a k barrel with minor mods but the compression will be low if you use standard k or early f pistons.  The k head will fit on 77-78 f barrel with mods but the 77-78 f pistons will hit the exhaust valves.  They can be relieved to work but with high compression of 10 or more.

OK thanks, thats what I wanted to know.  Only the "78F" juggs will work on the 78F motor, without modification.
