now for the stem problem, the suzuki stem is about a 1/2 inch too short so I cut it off and pressed in a 76 CB750 stem. (my 71 was a smaller diameter inside the tree casting and damaged as well)had to heat it up and stretch it 1 mm to fit into the GSXR treepressed it in and here it isfrom left to right- cut piece of gsxr stem tool to stretch the 750 stem tool to press it out and the done deal fits perfectly now.mock up so far.
mega thread necromancy: i've got parts coming for this swap, and i'm starting to prepare but had a quick question. what did you cut your stem out with? i cant get a good line on it and worry about nicking up the the stem.
got it. ive got a line on a 20 ton H press that i was planning to press out the gsxr, makes sense that i can press out the cb750 too. thx for the smack to the head guys, haha.
