Welcome to the forums BC, what are you riding mate? ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I want a translator option on this website that makes everyone's posts read like Strynboen's! ;D ;D ;D

Just to clarify:  I'm not making fun of you at all.  I really like the fact that you can somehow type in English with a thick accent but it's still very clear what you're saying. :)  I can't even type or speak in any other language, with or without an accent.

Funny thing is I had thought of changing mine only because I haven't had a 78k for a few years now. As a matter of fact I don't even own a SOHC currently! But I didn't change it just because I figured it would make life easier to just keep it...not that any of my posts are overly note worthy.

Is that "Flipper" on your tank mate? That was a great show, and I think it's lovely that you've built a "Flipper" bike, dedicated to that 1960's TV icon, well done! I might have to go build myself a "Gentle Ben" bike, I'm so inspired! ;D

Don't say that Dennis, I read most of your posts, and I think they're noteworthy, you might not have a huge technical knowledge (and you can't wheelie for sh1t) but you're a good bloke, and we're all looking forward to reading your posts about that wicked car you're buying from your brother! ;D

Aw, I like your posts, Dennis. What would we do around here if everyone left that didn't currently own an SOHC4? I currently only own a parts bike. If I had the $$ and room, I'd get a 550. That will have to wait a few years for Kit to get done with college. I can wait for something that good at the end of the tunnel. For now, I'm learning about and enjoying these wonderful machines just like everyone else on here.

Kit read this over my shoulder and said... "so wait, you're going to have a harley, a scrambler and a 550? You're a sick b!tch." I can accept that observation.

Stick around and enjoy.  ;D
1969 CL350 Scrambler... almost done!!! Well, until something else goes wrong. :)
2006 HD 883 Sportster, stock. No use changing it, it's still gonna be a Harley.

Sorry I didn't mean that the way it sounded. It kinda came off like a 14 year old girl fishing for compliments!  ;D Really I meant it more like nothing about my posting style would give me away. For instance, you can tell a TT reply and know EXACTLY who typed it without having to see TT's name beside it and to your point earlier TIA, most of these folks who come back as someone else usually get figured out pretty quick (even if Inigo still won't admit it!  ;) ).

My lack of technical expertise is improving ever so slowly...My post count may qualify me as an expert or whatever but I would NEVER claim to be an expert on SOHC's.

Oh and with any luck and a lot of hard work my wheelie deficiency might just be cured AFTER I get that car from my brother!!

Dennis, MY sohc4s consisted of "Project bikes" that had very little done to them all this time, for one reason or another and only lately have I gotten one that was running. You, my friend, contribute a heck of a lot here and, as has been said, we need You to stick around. Besides, like Terry was saying, we're looking for you to get that Car and post some photos of it along with the progress reports. You ARE going to do that AREN'T You? ;)

Oh I wouldn't be going any where! it was just the name change was all I had been considering. But I sorta figured a rose by any other name....

As for a thread of sorts once I get the Dart you can bank on it!! I just hope my brother who isn't always the most reliable doesn't screw me over.

Don't worry about it Dennis
I am dropping the insurance on the CB550 and will be running the goldwing GL1100I until I find work and that's looking like it might be the fall of 2011 if I go back to school.  I just hope I don't have to sell her to help pay the bills.

Haha, this thread actually inspired me to update mine to include my entire name because I didn't necessarily enjoy it being a semi random grouping of loosely relevant letters. It was sort of one of those "crap, what's my handle?... ah screw it" decisions.

I'm gonna change my name to "The Spoiler".

Or do you guys prefer "Overlord of Evil"?

Either is fine with me.
No.

I think "Overlord of evil" is a little pretentious Mark, but "The Spoiler" sounds kinda cool. I was thinking about, "Terry, defiler of virgins", but as I haven't actually defiled any virgins (that I'm aware of, but I'm up for it, if you know any?) the jury is still out, know what I mean? ;D
