points covers

do the points cover for the 750 and the 550 have the same demenisions?
Bikes in hand:
1977 Yamaha XS650
1978 Yamaha SR500 #119!
1978 Yamaha XS400
1978 Honda CB550K
1965 Ducati Monza 250

Sold off:
1992 Yamaha FZR600
1978 Yamaha SR500- I miss it so much.
1981 Yamaha Seca 550

Not sure about the dimensions but...the mounting holes are probably different depending on the model.
Some have two holes others have more, some are vertical and others are diagional etc.

The 750 cover will fit the 550, but the 2 mounting holes, while the same distance apart, are at 12 and six O'clock on the 750's, but more like 8 and 2 (or is it 10 and 4?) oclock on the 550? Long and the short is that either cover will fit either bike, but the Honda logo will not sit horizontally. Cheers, Terry.  ;D

actually, brain at loud fast ugly is out of finned covers for the cb550 and only has cb750 and cb350 covers left. i wanted to make sure is would fit regardless of the angle on the fins.
