wind power generation

Anyone here worked on a wind turbine project or considered it?

I've just ordered a book for some insights into building my own or using
a commercially available unit. There is a good article here;
http://www.otherpower.com/windbasics1.html which exposes some of the myths and con-artist claims.

I watched this video with this unit on ebay and producing 2kw at 20mph wind speed. Their selling power back to
the grid. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360223029521

if i lived in an area that i could, i'd have a wind generator. i did have solar heating for my pool though. if i can ever talk the wife into moving out of the city, maybe out in hopkins or horrel hill area, i will put up a wind generator.
Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.
