Hello from Texas!
« on: January 08, 2010, 06:51:22 AM »
Hello all!
Last night I just picked up my first SOHC: A complete and fully stock (except the seat) '73 CB750 with only 19k miles on it for $350. The only downside is that she's seized up and (as best I can tell) still has the original 37 year old tires on her ::).
The nice guys over at cb750c.com (I also have an '80 CB900) referred me over here and I'm glad to be here! I've got some work to do to get this old gal runnin' again ;D.

Here are some pics:

  + Randakk oil filter adapter
  +'85 ZX600 Ninja Carbs + Stage 3 jets
  + 3 bins full o' bits

The PO is always an idiot.

Howdy!
Even with the motor it looks like you got a deal.  It's certainly worth at least that much in parts!
Do you have a copy of the Honda Shop Manual or Parts List for your bike? Get one here:

I woulda grabbed it.  Prolly a few others too.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Hey Nat, Looks like a good solid bike. Even though engine is locked, great buy at $350. I thought my 76 750 came with a ugly seat, yours takes the prize!!! Good luck on your project.

Yeah... an OEM seat is high on my list after she's rideable. In the meantime... that ugly sucker's getting the full duct tape experience.

Pull the cover, cut and reshape the foam and if you like what you see, have it covered.  Might a fun little project you can learn from.  Then post pics and show everyone how you did it.
