What's a "frostie" Harry ?

Is it the same as one of Terry's "tinnies"

Harry, what was the temperature when you did this?
Looked to be a little cold!
I'll just stay inside and watch your clip until it stops raining here and it warms up just a bit!! LOL

Below freezing, for sure, but don't remember how much. I do remember that the salt had just been washed off the roads, so there was nothing to stop me going for a ride!

Nice movie, thank you!
Now we need another one with the bike warmed up and going at proper revs. Then you don't need the music as soon as the bike starts. ;)

Ah, well, just a regular cheap digital camera (Sony) with video recording capacity, slung round my neck by its strap. Surprised me that it worked, and that the sound was ok. Maybe I should take the music off the video....?

I'll be darned! Sometimes "simple" is the best approach, it certainly turned out pretty well in this case. Thanks for the reply.

great clip, i thought you were gonna go thru the wall on the way back in  :o...actually, aside from the cheesiness, i thought the music added a professional touch.  makes me wanna do the same so you all can hear a 350 that actually roars (and makes some 32 year old noises that i haven't quite pinpointed)

Fantastic Harry, I'd like to see some mpeg movies from other parts of the world, like Raul in Spain and Karl in Wales, Steve D in the UK, Mike Rieck, Sean Condon, John Baldridge, Ed starkes and every one else in the US, and if I can get hold of a digital video camera I'd love to share my favourite roads in this hot dry land with you guys too! Cheers, Terry. 8)

Yeah, c'mon guys, lets get some videos rolling! Eh, Terry, you're going to have to pull your finger out if you are going to shoot some curves before the winter rolls in over Oz, and the rain pelts down for days on end in dreary Melbourne!

G'Day Harry, well it's gonna be 30 deg C (86 deg F) here and 8 deg C (46 deg F) in Denmark tomorrow,so if you want dreary, look out the window. But to be honest, I'd be happy to see some rain mate, it's such a rare thing here, we've been in drought for many years and each year we get more stringent water restrictions. I'd love to be able to wash my bike in my driveway without falling foul of the law, just like you'd like to do the same without it turning into an iceberg, ha ha! Cheers, Terry.

My son has a neat little digi-cam with an internally threaded tripod mountunderneath, and I'm thinking of making a short bracket from the handlebar clamp to the base of the camera, it should hold it reasonably steady, so as long as the screw doesn't pull out of the plastic internal threaded portion, it should be good to go! Cheers, Terry. 8)

Yes, based on the ones posted previously, thought I would play copycat  :D. I prefer still photography, but have a DV camera also. Modified some photo clamps so I could mount the camera in various places on the bike, bars facing forward, down tube facing forward so you could see some of the front wheel in the shot, and one time on a down tube facing back with a portion of the exhaust in the shot. Kind of fun actually. Took a bit to figure some things out, such as the image stabilization helps and only works if the camera is set to "manual." First ones I took with it clamped to the bar without image stabilization were pretty nausiating to watch.  ;D

So, Bob, where are your videos?

OK, figured out how to create a stream and found space to upload it. I still use a dial-up connection so it took a while (ha, ha) even though we have very clean fast dial-up lines. I was wondering if someone with a broadband connection would give this a try and let me know what it looks like. When I tried to download it, streaming over dial-up sucked, but also the image was much larger than I selected at rendering time, yet when I play it locally it is the correct size.

I don't think this will make Stephen Spielberg seek alternative employment.  ;D

Bob, it downloaded into my temp file. Played fine. Even with DSL I have trouble getting steady streaming video. Size was OK.
But 10.9MB, how long did that take you to upload on a phone line? ;D

Great video Bob!!!

Like Dennis said , all you have to do is right click on it and save to your hard drive.
I watched it full screen on a 19" monitor and it looked great.

Hmm, I played it locally at full-screen (also a 19" monitor) and the quality sucked, very fuzzy. It was rendered at 320x240. At that setting it was much clearer and sharper.. guess it should be though, eh?
