Hey Jeff, if doing this keeps YOU down so you can better recouperate, then so be it. :) I' like several myself, but Garfield is pretty good.

Best strip is Zits. If you have or had teenagers you'll know why I like it.

my favorite comics are online... seems the only one worth reading (that's still going) is www.somethingpositive.net by RK Milholland.

www.ozyandmillie.com was good, too, but is now done running.

There ya go!  ;)  Years ago, used to read ones like Snuffy Smith, Prince Valiant, Dick Tracy, Beetle Bailey (I know, already mentioned) and later, read things like Hi and Lois, Family Circus, Calvin and Hobbs (another, already mentioned) Dennis the Menace, Andy Capp (another already mentioned) & Dagwood and Blondie. Seems like there were others, but I just can't remember now. ::)

the far side always made me laugh too. it really appealed to my warped sense of humour.

There are still a few good web comics:

Basic Instructions

XKCD

and one that's "over," but 1000% worth checking out:

They occasionally put out a good one, but most of the time they're just "LOL OFFENSIVE!" Also everything done by "Kris" is absolutely terrible.
