The British 'Bobby' in Wintertime
« on: January 14, 2010, 08:09:35 AM »
With most of Britain languishing under an unusually deep blanket of snow, and the nation's criminals tucked up at home in the warm, our police have a little extra time on their hands :

The local police commander was quoted as saying:

"I have spoken to the officers concerned and reminded them in no uncertain terms that tobogganing on duty, on police equipment and at taxpayers' expense is a very bad idea should they wish to progress under my command."

Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the lash. That one is the cat. If man could be crossed with the cat it would improve man, but it would deteriorate the cat.

Let the boys have some fun.
Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Two thoughts, First one; If they saw me and mates doing it they would try and stop us, usually quoting something like "danger to the public"/ public order offence..
second thought: shields used for anything other than beating back unarmed civilian population has to be good.
