a bit more than a year ago (i think) i got, for 55 dollars, a bitsa guitar (bit of this guitar, bits of this guitar) anyways it has really sweet, low, fast action and super nice electrics (theyre from an american stratocaster) and some dip#$%* decided to try and make it look "road worn" apparently with a power sander and some 80 grit

and i've been kicking around ideas about what to do with the finish. leave it as is (none of the ugly cosmetics make it play bad) or refinish it. i spotted pics of an SG that had been "reliced" and it had a cool looking stripe, kind of like a rally sport stripe from a late 60's or 70's GM muscle car. i have some left over paint from painting my airtech seat/tail piece and i'm thinking that maybe i'll do the same thing with the FrankenStrat. it's not like i have alot of money into it and if i decide i dont like it i can always strip the stripe off, but i have a feeling it might just look cool as hell, here are pics i took of FrankenStrat this evening. i have plenty of quick drying silver paint and i already tested it under the neck plate to be sure it was compatible. opinions ladies and gentlemen? oh, it IS a hardtail model, the main reason i got it.
