The manual, use it, it is your friend... not your enema.  :)

Here is a link to some advice, the pictures refer to a CB 550.

The adjustment is a bit different on the CB 750, maybe a bit easier. The tricky part is, when you adjust one cylinder, you might find that the other ones you have adjusted may fall out of range. That is because when you adjust one of the carbs, the vacuum will change and the engine will rev up or down. That will influence on the ohter cylinders and carbs as well. Take your time, but remember to do the other tuning FIRST!

Also, go to the FAQ section under carbs and there is more sync info there. Good luck with your project. Oh, remember when you sync to put a good fan on the motor so you do not over heat it. Some people forget that...

+1

not sure of the tubes used on this sync gauge, but a hot engine will melt the ones on the morgan carbtune.  :o  :-[

First and foremost you must adjust your guages to read the same. I do this by taking the front cover off first. Attach each guage to the easiest cab to get to and use the adjustment to get each guage reading the same. The reading itself is not important in synching, it is getting all four guages to read the same. As was said as you will be tweaking each carb so expact to be going back and forth. Put a fan(s) on the motor to keep it from over heating.
