solder bullet connectors oem
« on: January 15, 2010, 07:29:39 AM »
hey guys trying to wire up my 71 cb750 cafe. i bought a brand new harness which im very happy with worth every penny of the $200 i paid. highly recomend it. my question now is the factory harness on the controls has solder type bullet connectors on them. my bike was hacked before i got it and was wondering where you can find the stock solder type bullets. they are really small in size male ends. ive read that vintageconnectors sells oem stuff but i didnt find these type on there web page. if anyone knows a place i could get some that would be great thanks ryan

Get a junk harness and unsolder the bullets and they can be reused. Dan

I ordered a few packs from Z1 just to have them around.

Where did you find the replacement harness?

Any idea if these will work on a 77 CB400F?  I have some after market signals but the bullet connectors are too big for the stock connectors.

Ah, I didn't know that Z1 carried those. ;) I was going to order on vintage connections since I want to pretty much replace all of them on both of the 350's and I don't like the ones I bought locally. I'll save those for other stuff. If I get sets of 100, I'll be good for a while. I think we need the 4mm or is the 3.5mm correct? Any one know?

FYI- The "modern" ones for 14-16ga will usually push in and expand the female end just a bit if you give it a little nudge. ;) ;D
