worth 100?
« on: January 15, 2010, 03:00:14 PM »
There is a 75 750K just sitting in the snow, the fenders, tank, lights etc. are all bent up, there is rust on the chrome and the engine is stuck. Seat shot, tires gone but they claim to have a title, I'm officially out of storage space but I feel sorry for it.  Thinking of offering a hun. Suppose the frame is worth the trouble?

Don...I got a K4 parts bike also for $100. 6,000 miles and froze engine. I sold the title and frame for $150. Got $51 for the rusty tank too. I did alright and have a ton of parts left as I restore my sunflake orange K4 this winter. I do not think you can go wrong for $100. Make sure the title matches of course. My parts bike came with the original owners manual never removed from the bag. Also had the original extra key in the bag. The guy also had the HONDA "thank you" letter for buying the bike dated 1974. Pretty nice to hang on it for sure.

If you can get a title with it and you can get it running with parts you have around the garage, then yes it's worth it.
everything I say is pure speculation and
I have no idea what I'm talking about  ._.

It would be too big a project for me to get it running, I am buried in projects now. Maybe swap a couple parts and move it along.

My opinion, yes. I think you could get a LOT more than that parting it out. Looks like enough folks here that need something, including me. I can think of a couple things I could use right now, especially if it's complete. There may also be somebody here looking for a challenging project.
