I recommend peanut oil.  High heat resistance and the lovely smell of peanut butter.

Oil of Olay would be a good choice.  Smooths and keeps things moisturized.

I've got some of that, guess I'll give it a try' then they'll come back crying... I'd recommend some KY, you might have to dilute to get the viscosity right, but at least it's petrolium based. ;D ;)
