Test: What bike is best for you?
« on: January 04, 2006, 05:06:08 PM »

Came across this cool little test, apparently I need to get myself an FJR1300.
It's going on the top of my shopping list! ;D ;D

Apparently, I am as bland and boring as they come.  It thinks I should have bought an 883 Sportster (which, oddly enough, was what I originally looked at).  I broke every rule in the book: bought the first bike I looked at, had no clue what it's actual condition was (it did run though), didn't even meet the PO (bought it from his dad).  But $350 seemed a better deal that $10k.  Little did I know what I finally did buy; I don't think I'll ever get rid of my 550.

I can go you one better. It thinks I should be riding a Wing.  :D If I were going that route, I would prefer a BMW.  ;)

Mine also said a 883 sportster.  That would be on the bottom of my list.  How do they come up with that?  They must assume anyone over 40wants a harley.  I even answered the harley question that I would never want one.  This is a joke.

Yeah.  I re-took it trying all of the Harley options (love 'em, hate 'em & don't care) and still got the sporty.  Seemed fishy.

What I'd like to know is how many bikes are available as recommendations, but I have to say I would be pretty pleased with the one it gave for me. :)

FJR1300!!!!!!!!!!
Thank god it wasn't the Harley!  And yes, I'm over 40 (with high ZEAL, some moxie, and a health dose of pomp).
I haven't seen a bike built after 1979 that has done much for me.

It said I need the FJR1300 too.  I've looked at them a couple of times, rode one several months ago, liked it.  Won't ever buy one, though.

FJR1300, though I really want that BMW shown on the first question page.  Fitted out the way it is would be ideal.

Seems like the bike options are sorely limited.

I'm with you, Glenn, but if I had the inclination to go out and buy a brand new bike tomorrow, it would probably be this one.

What a bunch of losers. A REAL biker wouldn't even have taken the test.  (883 for me too...)

I did not really get a straight answer, it started with softtail then suggested sportster then buell. Yeah, I think unless you answer cocky on all questions, you get a harley. I will have to try that and see what I get.

Ha!!  I took the test again answering basically the opposite of what I said the first time, and here's what I got:

Trailered Harley
You scored -2 moxie, -9 zeal, and 7 pomp!
Your bike is a Harley, generally ridden distances ranging from 2-3 miles between bars. You enjoy riding in packs with hundreds of your like-minded friends on charity runs, thundering down the highway in a loud, slow convoy. You faithfully attend Sturgis, Daytona, and Laconia, and have your bike unloaded off a trailer at the edge of town so that nobody sees that you didn't ride in.

Of all the personality types, you are least likely to wave back to a rider on a different brand of motorcycle.

Classic!! :D :D
