Firefox Problems
« on: January 04, 2006, 05:26:42 PM »
Is anybody having problems with Mozilla Firefox this evening? I've tried everything I can think of. I have removed it and downloaded it again twice, so far!! I can get a basic start page but, without the center part. I/m not sure what you call it, I just type in what I want there. You might be able to tell that I'm not computer literate. I know just enough to usually do what I need to do. I'm having to operate off of Internet Explorer right now and that's shaky at best. Anybody out there got any ideas? I'm gonna keep on trying to get this thing right, after all, I am a "Hard Headed Dutchman" Bye for now, Bill

Not sure what you mean by "center part".  Do you mean Firefox is opening a window but without the browser where you type a website address?

Try this:  Open Firefox, move your cursor to the blank part of the grey bar at the top of the screen, right-click on it to open the options and click on navigation toolbar.  If I understand your problem correctly, that should take care of it.

Well, I think I've got it fixed. I just happened to realize that since the firewall was blocking firefox and everything on my lower toolbar, I had to get it to allow these things that I use and I think I've got it fixed. Pretty aggravating when I start having trouble getting to SOHC and Ebay Motors, among some others. I appreciated the responses I got. That's what I like about this website. People get involved. I   put a post on another website trying to find out what year a particular motorcycle was (that I had aqquired) and I never did get a single response. Oh, I take it back, I did get one. He wanted me to post a picture. The only problem was, with the parts that were missing, you would not be able to tell what year it is. It was missing the rear fender, seat tool & battery boxes, & shrouding. I don't want to tell the brand only to say that it is european because I'm not the type to bring down a website because of my experience. For all I know, alot of people might have been helped by them so, I'll just steer clear. Anyway, thanks again guys. This site is the best   Bill
