The LC650 I had was radically different again, the forks were twice as thick and the handle bars were two piece (scary eh!) when that bike ran well it was damn fast. :)
Shame we didn't get any nominations for the LC model as it truely was the very "last" of the SOHC4's ever ever built.

Whoa! :o  Back the truck up, Hush. A LC650? ??? I Know there are models that I have not heard of and all, but a LC?  Is that just a European model? I'm not DOUBTING you, it's just when I have not heard of something, I like to find out what I can about it and have you got more pictures? Are those 2 piece handlebars, like the ones on my CBX?
Thanks for whatever you can tell and/or show me on this, Bill ;)

I have had a big education in 650's this month!  I am really starting to like these.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

I really lucked out!  I sent an email to the fellow who sold me the 650 basically just saying that I'm done and up for BOTM on our forum and was wondering if he still happened to have any pics of the bike laying around.  HE DID!

He sent me an email back saying
Quote from:  The fella who sold me the bike
that's really cool to hear about you and the bike! It looks great! Cool bags. How does it run? I'm guessin' you don't have to go down hill to get it up to 55 anymore, right? Yeah, I've still have a bunch of pics of it. Good luck!
So... here they are! 8)

She's come a long way, and now I finally have her baby pictures, too. :)  Well... her original CL pics, anyway.  I kept the original ad, but none of the pics loaded anymore. 8) I know. I'm crazy.

Sorry Bill looks like I got that wrong, but many are listed as LC650's here in NZ, after some investigation I find they are correctly listed as a CB650RC.
Strangely enough they only have a listed top speed of 105 mph whereas Kits' model boasts 115 mph? :o
My old 79 is listed as 107 mph. :)

I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Having followed behind some fast-moving-objects (because my speedo only does '80') I'm pretty sure that's an accurate assessment. ;)

So Hush and Scunny, where are those pics??? We wanna see bike porn!!!  ;D Dammit, I need some beautiful Hondas to look at, caress through my screen and drool over. Or as some of the SSDB guys say... fap, fap, fap. Well, okay as a chick, I can't quite, it's not the same, well... ya know........... but I'm there in spirit anyway.  ;D ;D ;D

PICS!!!

There is no reason why this thread should be at 38 replies when a certain other one has 13 pages in 3 days. WTF??? Is this the SOHC4 forum or did we fall off the planet for a bit?
