those are pretty slick, nice and tiny! they're not my cup of tea, but they do look good on the carb!
where'd you get them?
On ebay, cheap knock offs of a k&n, they need to be small to clear the frame, only 3 in working space in there. It allows for a little bit better performance and so I can remove the heavy cumbersome air box.
"little bit better performance" might not be accurate with stock engine... i know a guy with cheap dyno services if you want to get it overwith and have the best performance possible with the pods, but prepare for low end loss. search the forums- lots on this topic.
I may eventually dyno tune it, I am pretty familiar with carb tuning. Well at least tuning with out a dyno, you know the butt dyno
. I was speaking about top end gains, and weight gains. Pods do not allow enough velocity pressures to boost bottom end and mid range. To much flow not enough resistance. I will however need to find out what carb settings to start with as I don't know what has worked for most people with these bikes, like the main jet size, needle position and mixture screw setting, so I can at least have an idea of a place to start. I will have to do some searching I am sure.
