thanks guys, I feel better today. I didn't do anything to the bike yesterday. I have a bunch of errands to run today. I am going to see if the small shop down the street has 90's jets and since the last time I was there the guy raked me over the coals for bringing my own tires for him to mount telling me he could match price. I am going to bring in my online quote to put him to the test. The money is flying out now. I may have to just cover the seat in what ever material I can get my hands on and wait until later to have it done right. That saves $110 and I can put that towards the tires.

So I put a cb750c master cylinder I had just laying around on the cx and sure enough I was able to bleed the brakes. So problem solved only thing is I used the switch a while back for Little Horse so now I need one of those. It feels good to solve one problem though, especially since it was a safety issue.

If you're talking D&S, they're ok for tire mounting and that's it.  I wouldn't trust them with anything important.

yep just tire mounting although I still might just pic up the harbor freight tool and modify it to work a little better. Last time D and S didn't even mount the tires right if you all can remember that fiasco.

The switch is on the handle, I think you are referring to inline switch right?

He had the jets well close 94 and 96 which he sold me 4 jets for a total of $5 not too bad. I have been wanting to start a jet collection as this hobby of fixing old motorcycles is taking off for me. I tried them out too and got a chance to ride back and forth down the street. I am relieved to find the flat spot lives further upstairs so I will need those 125's watsup. Also cool is the fact I can swap jets without have to remove the carbs, woot! Never had a bike I could do that on.

The shock feels good so far I haven't tested how it behaves under higher speeds and corners. I had it to about 40mph for a second then was at the end of the street. Making u turns was a simple affair, so fingers crossed that the shock is right, but its looking good for now.

Encouraging news that the shock acted fine thusfar.  Sounds like you guys have some nice twisties up there you can test it out on prior to handing it off to your sister.  Video, please.

if they aren't kit nothing a big rubber mallet can't fix

So I went for a quick evening ride to Bald Peak and back, definitely relieved so stress. I got a good laugh out of the "too" tough harley riders with the ape hangers that snubbed my casual wave... I find it funny the people who have the biggest chips on their shoulders tend to be compensating for most stuff.

the cx sounds alot like a harley, you can here pushrods and things moving around in there just like HD, I am sure it will cause many a double take.

So I mounted my blinkers and license plate today. Now all the wiring is done I just need batteries and a seat cover. I also need to make a rear brake switch mount and a mc switch. Just a few little niggles left. Then fiddle with jetting some more test ride the crap out of it, and give it to my sis.

LOL on HD riders compensating.  I've a Fat Boy, and that definitely sums me up!!  Good news is, they're pigs.  I can only hit 108 downhill.  So, if they get peeved at ya, you can always outrun them with the 110MPH Little Horse!

Dam ned master cylinder number two is toast like I thought a long time ago. I guess my dad doesn't need to feel bad we swapped it out way back when. A good note if I am to take a positive about this is that it confirmed the first master cylinder was  bad. Now looks like I am off to fleabay for a working candidate.

well I ordered a replacement master cylinder, so as soon as it gets here there will be alot more to talk about.

I finished my cheapo seat cover. Cheap meaning free so it isn't exactly pretty but it does work and from 10 feet away it doesn't look horrible.

I still need 125 main jets, and or 130's. I will try 125's next but judging by the flat spot it would not surprise me if the 130's where needed, that is coming from a 110 stock main  :o. I guess my pipes flow more then I thought.

Oh and the battery situation still needs a remedy.

Then a test ride or two and if things check out some tires.
