Don't really have any progress pictures, but thought I'd share some pics of my 79 CB650.  Let me know what you all think.

sharp looking bike, but I can't help but think traditional spoked wheels would really pop on that bike more than those alloys.

Love the look of that, very clean. The tailpiece and rear light is very nice,

For sure ... let's hear more about the seat and tail.

I gotta admit I prefer spokes but overall the bike looks real sharp

Nice bike, but it looks like the tail light would be smashed on the first bump you hit..(?)  Longer rear shocks and dropping the forks a bit would also level it out  for even more of a cafe' look.

Thanks for the comments!

The tail piece is a solo cover from a hayabusa, the tail light comes from the busa as well.  I used the stock seat pan, modified a bit to fit the tail piece and had a local guy pad and cover the seat.

It does sit low in the rear, which was the look I was going for.  The shocks are from an 06 R6, which are pretty much overkill spring rate wise. It's practically a hard tail with two of those on there.  Believe it or not, the tire has only rubbed the tail light once, and that was a rather large pot hole.  I think it damaged my back more than the light ;)

I would like to lower the front, but there's no room to drop the forks with the z-bars on there.  At some point I'd like to fit a sportbike front end to it and go with clip-ons.
