He survived his Katrina gay rant, this is SOP for him.

My guess is gullible people will still send him money, he will never suffer a moment for this ignorance.

Pat Robertson has been saying stupid stuff for decades and it amazes me there are such stupid gullible people that still follow him.

Anytime I hear any suppose religious leader who seems to know what judgment God
has placed on a group of people or a nation I believe they are off the mark. But then again,
Voltaire spotted this a long time before me. By the way, I do not think that Christiandom, nor the
Christian Religion has much to do with Christianity, which is the following of Christ.

"Of all religions, the Christian should of course inspire the most tolerance, but until now Christians have been the most intolerant of all men." Voltaire

Unfortunately that's an ongoing trend.  To read the teachings of Christ, they are very much on terms of Buddhist teachings of love and compassion to all others- to the point of saying "Well, if you believe God will punish others, then leave it up to Him.  In this life, you love your brother and let the judgement be in God's hands."

The unfortunate part is that too many people feel compelled to do "God's" work, especially in the "judgement" department. ...and far too little in the "love and compassion" department. :(
"Moderation in all things - especially moderation. Too much moderation is excessive. The occasional excess is all part of living the moderate life."

I remember reading a article about him and his military service.  He was a 2nd Lt. in the Marines.  When the Korean war broke out he was sent overseas.  His father was a well connected congressman.  He pulled strings to have him removed from danger.  Years later another marine made this public.  This marine had won the Navy Cross, Silver Star and 2 Purple Hearts in the fighting.  Robertson sued for libel.  He dropped the case and was ordered to pay the court costs.  Seems he got an early start.

But Tramp, I'm starting to think a lot do. What he is teaching is Old Testament.
Thankfully that has been replaced by the New Testament.

Hopefully people will begin to turn away from asshats like Robertson so this Country can move forward.

But lads, the vast majority of the people living below the Mason-Dixon line live their lives according to the Old Testament and their Preachers quote nothing else only the Old Testament to fire'em up against the evil ways of ' foreign countries ' and their lack of Democracy and Freedom as only enjoyed here in the U.S. of A...... right?

i'm from tennessee, spanner... boy howdy are there some interesting religious folks down there. you can find just about anything you want in the old testament (hell, there's a passage where "god" condemns figs... i think this is where fred phelps mistakenly heard that god hates fags...silly typo), though i thought christians were supposed to be all about the new testament and that whole jesus-died-for-you thing.

pat robertson is from a long tradition of well-dressed, well-kept, and well-endowed bible thumpers spewing that hateful  nonsense.

News flash Fellas, I live up way above the Mason Dixon line and we have these guys all over the place. I work in the Ghetto and there is a Church of some sort on every corner. The Hispanic population who you would expect to be solidly Catholic, goes to these places in droves.
