Parts N More CB750 Spokes Feedback?
« on: January 18, 2010, 02:15:59 PM »
Im looking at the front and rear spoke kit from Parts N More (CB750K) and they look really nice. I was wondering if anybody has bought these and how do you like them. The price is right for me. I got a set of the Parts N More 35mm clip ons for Christmas and I really like them. Theyre very nice quality.

Half my bike is from Partsnmore. Honestly, can't complain. It's all well priced and I have yet to receive something of poor quality from them.

Well, one thing actually. The needles in the carb kits aren't the ones we should use...but that's well documented on this site. I didn't know before I bought them.

Good, thanks guys.  ;D Like I posted above, the clip ons I got from them are very nice. Just wanted to make sure before I order.

I wish they sold a spoke set for the REAR wheel on a '75-'76 750F  :(
I'd really like to get a "stock" set that's not over $100

I guess thats one of the things about having something rare. Sometimes, you gotta pay.

I have a 76 750F now I'm wondering about the rear spokes I ordered...hopefully they'll fit, I'll know sometime later this week.
The front spokes fit up well no problem there.
Eventually I'll get something that runs, but until then I'll wrench until I make it run.

Yeah, keep me posted.  Did you buy them from Parts-n-more?

Hey I managed to get the spokes all laced up last night without much trouble...took 3 tries...missed a hole the first time, put the wrong kind in the second one around and the third time I managed to get it...

Anyway, to answer the question, yes I got them from partsnmore.com it was the part number Part#19-7501 off their site for the front.
I had the 18" rear wheel and the spokes from partsnmore as well and those laced up nicely. I think it took 2 tries before I got that one sorted out right.

But if I had to do it again...after reading through some more post I'd probably go find stainless steel ones.

Eventually I'll get something that runs, but until then I'll wrench until I make it run.

I was under the impression that the rear spokes were different for the K and F models...not so?

Hard to go wrong at $30 a set, but for my money, on a part you only ever want to touch once, I'd have (and did) spend the extra $$$ on stainless from Buchanan.  About $90 a wheel for custom stainless spokes/nips.

Hmm looking at the thing on partsnmore they only specified the front spokes being good on the F...managed to miss that I guess.
I got the 18" spokes for the rear wheel and it seemed to work out well. I'm certain mines an F the vin checks out and everything.
I didn't think there was that much difference between the two rear hubs except that fact that one was disc and the one was drum. The sizes I thought were the same...although I'm sure someone on here knows for certain. Although the fact that they laced up and the spokes aren't sticking out the end of the nipple i'd say it worked.

So you have the "F" model with the rear DISC brake?  The spokes you ordered from Parts-N-More worked?  If you said yes to both, I'm ordering a set for my "F".

Yes to both.

Kool!
Hey tintin, you said something about SS spokes, and I agree with you on the stainless.  My last set was from them and they're great!  I also have a mostly stock '76 750F that I will eventually get around to doing a 20-foot rebuild when the economy (and myself) starts to recover, and the $30 for "stock" spokes is a good starting place.
