Help removing carbs on 400f
« on: January 08, 2006, 04:26:11 PM »
Can someone give me some tips on getting the carbs out, without tearing anything. I should be pulling up and out the right side, right? thanks in advance.

I use a broomstick between the carbs and the motor to pry mine out.  Just go slowly and you won't rip the intake rubbers, or if you do you should replace them anyway  ;D  Works like a charm!

put your thumbs on the intake manifolds and the rest of your fingers on the carb body (or vice versa) and press the 2 apart.

elbow grease my friend!
