K0 side covers
« on: January 25, 2010, 09:49:15 PM »
I have a K0 right side cover, nice, painted grey with emblem and a new in the box candy blue green Honda replacement left side, no emblem. Since most of my bike is not very original I am thinking about selling them and getting LPM replacements. Would the value of the stock side covers make this worthwhile or is this just a silly idea? Maybe clear a few bucks to apply toward an LPM air box?

Why not just use what you got unless there in bad shape? I would think stock oem ones in good shape especially the stock painted one would be worth a little bit more then LPMs maybe? None the less LPM are top knoch on quality and originalness

They're in great shape, the candy blue green one is new from Honda, I was just wondering if someone might need a pre-painted new one for a restoration project. I'm sure it's worth way more than an aftermarket replacement. If I'm full of it thats OK too, I can sand that pertty paint off for the candy red.

Makes sense, I was just sorta figuring that the price of a oem cover painted in good shape might go for the same price of an LPM AND getting it painted somewhere and that it was the color you needed.  You can still get side covers from Honda?

No you can't. This one is new old stock.

Hey Don, I think we can do a deal. I've got a new LPM air box here, I painted it candy red but never fitted it, because I got a good OEM airbox, so I don't need it, but I do need a couple of good OEM sidecovers. I've got a pair of LPM sidecovers here too, if you'd like them? Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
