400F tank lid trim
« on: January 05, 2006, 02:22:34 PM »
Does anyone have the part number for the rubber trim on the lip of the 400F tank lid (77+)??
My parts list is for the model with the flip-up gas cap but I have a 77 tank on the 76 machine... and the rubber's decayed. Maybe I can get one cheaper than powersportspro... they show a price ($16.00!) but hide the part number.

That's the trim around the edge of the covering flap (not the actual cap seal) ? It's 17522 377 720

Hey Bodi,  you too can have the universal parts list for free (in not so great but okay for most purposes PDF format) from honda4fun.com.  Go to "Materiale" -  "Parts Lists" and then 400F.  It's comprehensive and includes all the area codes (U.K - Germany - Denmark - Canada - France -  etc., for all three marks; F, F-1, F-2).   I use it mainly as a supplement to my main, much more simply laid out parts list and I've found it pretty helpful at times.  It even has what appear to be bona fide grease smudges .... (at least on the cover).

Hey Bodi, let me know if you find that part anywhere. i tried ordering one from servicehonda and they said it was discontinued. it listed for $8.94 on their website but then i was told that it wasn't available. :(
