Another Tire Question...

Back when I was a baby SOHC grasshopper I made the mistake of buying a 100/90 D404 19 inch Dunlop front tire (their site says they're applicable to 2.15 inch rims) to replace the slightly more incorrect size that was on the bike when I bought it.

Now after becoming a teenage grasshopper and finding out about Metzelers and correct tire sizes I'm left with a choice...

I've only put maybe 1500 miles on this tire, but I've been considering getting a new correct size one.

Would you get a new tire right now? Or would you not because it doesn't make that much of a difference?
Thoughts?

Hmmm, I'm no tire expert, actually they're confusing as h3ll, but I've got a Dunlop D404 100/90-19 on my stock CB750 rim and have not had any problems. I probably put 2500-3000 miles on it so far too. Unless you have a different rim I wouldn't really worry about it.

That's only slightly wider than stock.  Not really something I'd replace if it still has a lot of miles left on it.

im not sure how different moto tires are but....

the true width of any size tire can vary quite a bit from manufacturer to manufacturer, not to mention as its mounted on a specific rim.
its usually best to call the manufacturer directly with the intended application to get an accurate width measurement.

it took me weeks to find 33" that would fit my truck with no rub....
and a 2.5 mountain bike tire is not always 2.5
