Anyone else want to add their share on where to start the jet sizing for the 836cc?

I went with CR 29 carbs so I can't speak from axperience, but I have heard 128's are a good place to start for an 836 with stock carbs.  Hope this helps a bit.

And painted black. The whole thing will get several coats of clear gloss after the tape is rubbed down with some stripper to give it a vintage look and some more depth. Should be interesting.

Great work wrapping the pipe.  I wish I could have run the Yoshi exhaust.  Since I am using the stock footpeg brackets on my 77f it will not fit.  If I ever decide to make some rearsets for the bike I will be getting a Yoshi pipe.

Thanks, my buddy Aaron did the wrap job. Simple tip for header wrapping. Wet the wrap first, and you can work it easier.  Be sure and give it plenty of time to dry out though. Especially if you want to paint it or whatever. Also, before painting you can use a blowtorch to get rid of all the fuzzies on it.

If you want to buy rearsets instead of making a set. I bought some RAASK rearsets from Omar's rearsets. Most run around $300.

Frame is back from being powder coated:

Not me in the photo, that's another Aaron (There's two!) who hooked me up with the powder coating job. He busted up is leg pretty good when somebody hit him while he was on his 550, and is still doing rehab.

We stuck with the red on the frame, but went with metal flake instead of solid as painted previously. I wasn't 100% sold on the original enamel paint, and got a good deal on powder coating. So it was re-done.

Comstar rims are being re-painted as well. The edge of the rims will be masked off when painted black, and left bare. It should look pretty cool:

You got skills! I like that its not a dime a dozen cafe build. My only suggestion is to look up the definition of "mayhem." You will be surprised!

I've got a bunch of pics I will post soon. I've been sitting on them a while.

As of last, the new crankshaft bearings are ready to be installed after the cases get painted. The rims are about done being painted, and should have a rolling chassis soon. I just got a new key (after it grew legs and walked off), so I was able to open the gas lock get the cover off. Now the tank, covers, and rear fender can be painted. I think the only parts I have left to get are some turn signals, a brake light, and license plate bracket.

I went with the 836cc Big Bore Kit from Dynoman. Also had all the valves, guides, and retainers replaced.

What are you going to do for a top end? I was going to start collecting K parts but a F bigbore fell into my lap.
