Great weather yesterday and today even though it started sprinkling rain this afternoon, but not before me and the wife were both able to play hookie from work to get some riding in - both on our SOHCs.
We wanted to walk thru this place in White, Ga called Old Car City and see if they had any parts for the wife's 63' Econoline Van, but just our luck - it's closed on Weds. DANG IT! Tell ya the truth, it looks like it aint been open for 20 yrs. A guy came to the door and said the best day to come visiting is Fridays .. I work Fridays!! Have to plan another hookie day.

Now what?!!? Heck, let's ride that way ... aight then.

We head up the road a ways, make a circle back and end up stopping at the RoadKill Cafe for some lunch. Not sure what we ate .. but the name on the menu said, "The Big Nasty". It was big .. and nasty.

Stopped by a Harley Davidson shop just to look around at what 10 of our bikes could buy. I didnt take a picture - should have. As we came out to leave, there were a few guys standing around the bikes commenting, 'i use to have one' .. or, 'I learned to ride on a CB'. We walked up and questions started. Before long - I think the whole freaking store had come outside to see the bikes. Like I said ... should have taken a picture. All these guys dressed in their best $300 worth of Harley accessories getting all excited about couple old Hondas ... go figure.
From there, Deb wanted to ride over to another M/C shop - the Triumph dealership. So we went oogling over the new Hinckleys. This time I pulled the camera out of my pocket.

I picked up a cool camera mount and a T-shirt and headed for the house. Not a bad day of riding. About a 100 miles - maybe a little more. REALLY not a bad day considering it was below freezing all last week and low 60s today. Gotta love the South.
