Topic: Is Just MY Firefox OR A Change For ALL!

         I DID have a feature called "resize" and with my tired old eyes, I could click on it to rnlarge up to 200%. 
Then Suddenly, it's GONE! I don't know if it's just on MY PC, that it's not there anymore, or if it a change on the browser itself? Only way I know to check for sure, is to delete the thing and start over again. I REALLY like Firefox and wish they would leave SOME stuff alone. But, in this case I don't know if it/'s THEIR issue Or MINE?

         It's a crying shame that when I turn on the pc, I have to enlarge things, just so I can READ them and SEE the details of photos better! Sure takes some of the enjoyment out of it.

   Hey I appreciate that! The wording blew up so even I can read it! Now, If I could do the same for the rest of the page. Is there a trick for THAT as well?

What do you mean "for the rest of the page"?

Using CTRL and +/- resizes the entire page including pics.  CTRL plus mouse wheel does the same thing.

Perhaps you have the View -> Zoom -> Zoom Text Only feature turned on?

        Well, for example, the (the smilies) are so small. That's the main thing I noticed. Thank you for the info on the mouse wheel. I have said before that I am not computer literate. Usually, I know just enough to do what I want or need to do. I'm one of those who gets more out of being shown how to do something than to have to READ about it and then DO IT. Guess I have a sort of "comprehension" problem. It's kinda odd though, because, when I was 14yrs old and my Dad handed me that parts book while telling me that MY motorcycle was upstairs at my Granddad's shop, (after it sunk in) I just went up there and started looking for parts that were illustrated in that parts manual. After some time, Ended up with a complete Jawa 125cc Street bike. Maybe, after a few years have passed, I've lost some of that, I don't know.

        BTW, I don't know about the "Text only" either.

When I resize pages, the smileys resize too.


Pull down the View menu, click Zoom, and look to see if there's a check mark next to "Zoom Text Only".  If there is, click it to uncheck the option and then try resizing.

           No, I haven't been to the Dr. yet and Karla's been buggin' me about that. AND, of course, the next time I go to the drug store, Richard (the drugist) will be after me too! Don't they have enough money yet?

          BTW, the info that mystic_1 provided me, did the trick! I went to check on if the enlarging the Text was checked and it was! Well NOW, I can see what I'm doing and it sure is more enjoyable.
