Yeah, here, there is a fellow in his 50's, I'm guessing, who rides a nice looking yellow Harley with a matching side car. He works as a mechanic at the local H-D dealership and had an accident that left him nearly paralyzed in his legs. So, he added the sidecar that he modified to actually carry his wheelchair. He comes outside in his wheelchair, rolls up the ramp, raises the ramp with a lever (that is connected with linkage), ties the chair down, moves himself over to the seat of the bike, puts his helmet on and rides on down the road. He still goes to work at the dealership, every weekday and in any kind of weather. I've seen him at WalMart doing his shopping too! His wheel chair doesn't have a back to it, just the lower part. When he gets where he is going, he parks the bike, moves over to the wheelchair, removes the helmet and puts it in the small trunk on the back of his bike, releases the wheelchair, lowers the ramp and off he goes. He's worked things out so that he can pretty much come and go as he pleases and does it quite well.

Good to know that the dealership works with him on this.
