Topic: 500 rear brake

I ordered new brake pads from E bay for my 500.  I did see that some folks had some problems with aftermarket brakes...and sure enough these brakes were about 1/8" to wide on both the side that goes around the post and on the cam side.  I had to grind them down to make them fit.  If I had bought the brakes from Honda would I have been better off?

The rear brake shoes for the 450 and 500 twin plus the 500 and 550 four are all the same even tho' the brake plates and cams vary. Sounds like you got some wrong or incorrectly finished ones. I found Vesrah are Ok
