SS front brake line length/thread size
« on: March 15, 2012, 09:21:44 AM »
Hi,

I am restoring a 1977 Cb550k. I have rebuilt the front caliper and removed the stock brake line to replace it with a Stainless steel one. I have removed the auxiliary brake thing in order to go from brake master cylinder straight to brake caliper (also new brake master cylinder with brake switch integrated).

I need a custom brake line made and was wondering what length is recommended as well as the thread size at stock caliper is? My handle bars are almost like stock (European style - between stock and straight bars).

Thank you

I know the length of mine with Euro bars tho it does have a brake switch in there. Top is 11" bottom is 21". Hope this helps.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Talk to Shaun - Slingshot cycles. He makes brake hoses for CBs.

The thread should be M10x1.25
