Years ago I had a KZ1000, great bike, very fast and dependable. It's not a Honda, but go for it!

Good Luck.

I had the same year KZ750, the 550 was pretty much a scaled down version of the old KZ650 engine, like my 750 was an upscaled version. That engine had been around since 1976 and continued in one form or another into the 1990's and is very reliable, and well engineered. For 600 bucks you'll be very happy. I sold mine to buy a Ducati, what a bloody mistake that was! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Well I left a deposit and picling it up tomorrow. I gotta get a trailer to haul it home. 20 degrees is too cold for me to drive an hour and a half on a bike.

Its got brand new tires, and battery. The chrome is a 7/10. Needs a sync as it was idling high. 9200 miles. Original owners manual and tool kit. Wow I'm stoked!

I don't see too many of the "standard" styled 550's, most of them are the typical 80's cruiser. Very cool bike!

MAN, what a screamin' deal.  Around here, that'd be going for $1500 minimum.

And, yeah, mostly all you see are the 80's cruisers, the LTD model.  Nice to see a standard.  I had an '82 GPz550 for a year or so many years back - what a great machine.  Basically the same motor, but triple disks and sportier clothes and that was Kawasaki's very first Uni-Trak (single rear shock) for the street!  My nephew still owns that bike.

Have fun!

Kirk

I figured it was a deal. It came on CL 15 minutes before I called. Took me an hour to get over there. When I got there the guys phone was ringing off the hook! I left a deposit and getting it today.

This day is going by soooo slow though. I already have a trailer reserved at the local uhaul (only 15 bucks!!!).

I'll try to get some pics with my camera, not the phne when I get it.

The blue writing indicates it has air forks, correct?  That seems WAY high, I've always read to put like 5-7psi in there.
Just call me Timmaaaaay!!!

I will look it up before I put any in there. Some bikes are low, and others are up to 35 so I don't know for sure.

I just don't want to blow out the seals because I put too much air in there
