andrews d grind and stock displacement?
« on: February 18, 2010, 08:43:05 am »
from the andrews web page, states is for 500/550/650 sohc4. was suggested to me specs may be for 750.
D grind, 19/45............244 degree............385 lift.
            45/19............244 degree............360 lift
I found this cam in a 900cc big bore engine i picked up.
Question is, how would it behave in a stock bore 750 with a stage 2 head, serdi valve job, stock valve train, stock carbs with pods and 4 into 1 exhst?
Opinions anyone?
Zig.

I had one of these in an otherwise stock KO. Idle quality was OK, noticeable power boost about 6000 rpm.
I did not like the large valve clearances they recommended. I set the clearance at plus .002 over stock.
The cam is still good after 60,000 miles
