A little known fact....
 
The first testicular guard "Cup" was used in Hockey in 1874 and the first helmet was used in 1974.
 
That means it took 100 years for men to realize that their brain is also important.

Took a long time to even protect the face.  I still remember Gump Worsley playing goal in the early 70s without a mask.  But I do like Jona's original point.  Well taken.  Of course, some would argue that the cup is placed where a fella's mind is, anyway.   ::)
