Yup, I'm in for one... When is the 550 edition coming though??? ![Grin ;D](http://forums.sohc4.net/Smileys/default/grin.gif)
When I do that one, it will be very different from this one.

This one includes history, sub-model changes (over 20), "delta" changes, undocumented (in the U.S.) changes, philosophy changes, part and pieces changes, and step-by-step rebuild and repair, plus in-depth theory on carbs, electrical, chassis, performance, and personal tuning. And Hondaman parts and accessories, plus some Internet vendor sites for hard-to-find parts, like electrical stuff. It starts with the Hondaman Special #1 hulk from a junkyard and becomes the great-looking bike that took almost 10 minutes to sell (and it was on TV!)
...and includes (accidentally) several pictures of my damaged thumb that happened while I was building the bike garage for this work...

The 500/550 is not so varied and confusing, as they only came out in 4 distinct U.S. models (6 over the whole world). So, that would make for a much smaller book, for one thing. This one is 260 pages: that one would be about 80 pages by comparison.
This one is also something of a hobbyist's shelf book, or "coffetable" book: the photo quality is absolutely beautiful (and should be, for the printer's price...), and I'm about to see what the hardbacks will look like: I'll be ordering the first of those tomorrow.
And, work is just starting on the looseleaf "Shop Edition" with that very expensive synthetic paper: the Shop Edition may get some updates one day if I get to go into detail and depth on the "F" series of the bikes. They've been hard enough to come by here in Denver that some of their unique traits had to be left out of this edition: I can't get a 750F to go through for the unique pictures, other than the engine R&R and the tranny that I just did on an F1! In general, though, this book covers them pretty well. I just don't have any shots of their unique pistons and the semi-hemi heads: everything else is covered.
Here's a shot of the Proof copy (sorry for the low resolution here, the book is definitely not!).
