Think you'd ever offer a digital edition for those of us who keep laptops in the garage?

mystic_1

I've been looking at those, too. My wife wants a Kindle, so if we get one of them I'll get to see how the pictures look. The strange part of this whole process has been the pictures: when they print well, they look terrible on the screen: very dark and poor contrast. If you make the screen look good, they print out very poorly, all washed out. So, it would have to become a re-edited version. As far as I can tell right now, the owner would also have to buy the Reader program for [whatever reader device is used], so it doesn't come out as a bargain...

The pictures have been 75% of the process of this thing. They take a huge amount of time.

I feel like this will be the best resource I'll ever have access to.  Definitely count me in for one.  Probably have to get one of your ignitions as well while I'm at it.

I imagine it as a "Thoughts of HondaMan" section expanded.

Mark,

I'm in line too for one.  Sure like the idea of a ringed notebook style.  They seem to hold up better over time than traditional bound versions. Watch out for down loadable versions. Hate to see all your hard work usurped by the "free generation's" unwillingness to pay for anything.

Better if Hondaman records a CD with him reading it aloud, at the fireplace. For the dyslectic of which there are so many. ;D

Yeah the Kindle's display is not great.  The power consumption and readability in daylight are good, but the pixels are black-and-white only (no grayscale) and the display "blinks" repeatedly on each page refresh (the display has to actually switch to an inverted image to erase the previous screen, before drawing the next screen).  Also it's slow to actually paint a screen, feels like the 486 days all over again :(

I'd be SO up for the audiobook version though!  ;)
