Cb550 & 74cb750 tank strips vs decal
« on: December 06, 2011, 01:04:23 PM »
Batting around the idea of using the $45 ebay special decal on my 550 & 750 projects. Neither bike will be concourse restoration, has anyone tried the decal, am I going to regret not going with the stripe kit?

Do you have a pic of what you're talking about? I put a 750K stripe kit on my 550K tank, nobody seems to notice.

Thanks for the reply. Stripe kits are available from don the paint expert and others, but there is a guy on ebay selling a decal that has the black section and the gold stripes all in one... Seems pretty slick rather than taping off and painting and striping the tank. Looks like the guy has positive feedback but wanted to here if any forum members had tried it. I will try and get the pic from the guys listing.
