New Honda RedRider, VFR1200F inside
« on: January 30, 2010, 07:34:12 AM »
This is really nice.  Good size to the pics, and writing is obviously a little salesman-ny, but still nice.  Even has a little bit about the factory.

I've seen some on that one myself. Thought it seemed pretty cool also. 8) Good post. ;)

Honda is supposedly employing new paint strategies with this bike to up the quality.   There's a new facility in place apparnetly, and the measured clarity on their jobs is supposed to be top notch, better than Harley's.  I saw it in person at the International MC show when it came here in November, and I was impressed.
The metal flake or whatever it was in the job really popped out.  The one I saw was red, but seemed to have a bit of a pinkish hue, but it worked.  Good job, Honda.  Price is going to be a big jump over the old bike though.   :(

I like the vintage fairing badge.

$15,999.

About $700 more than a Connie 1400 ABS. Would be a nice shoot out. They are both on my tops list if I were to buy a new bike. That was going to be my plan this spring but since my wife is pregnant... things tend to change when that happens, huh?  ;D

It's kinda silly when they pack that much technology into a bike and then make things that everybody is going to want optional, like saddlebags and a centerstand.   Then again, the chain's going away so I guess the only times I'd actually have to get the rear in the air is for maintenance items, ie taking out the shock, changing tires, taking stuff etc.   Hmmm, guess I'd want it after all.
People in Austraila are really getting the "shaft" on pricing, so to speak.  Maybe Terry will see this and comment.
