Hello and good day. I am glad I found this forum I have a 1982 nighthawk 650 that I purchased for a song but it needed work. I am almost done sorting things out and will hopefully be riding it soon.

I opened up the carbs to clean them and found that I need to get 2 Vacuum Cylinders (one was cracked and one was mangled), and probably 2 carb needles.

That got me to wondering if there were other bikes that used the same set of carbs. I may try to pick up the rack for cheap from ebay and then I will have spare parts forever.

The carbs that are on this bike are a rack of 4 kehin VB44C (Constant velocity type).

Thanks very much for taking the time to read this and have a good day.

 ;D

PS Does anyone know the cost of the vacuum cylinders ? It may be cheaper than I think and the bike shop is not open until tomorrow.

From my manual I believe that 1981 was the first year of the CV type carbs.
