It would appear to be an obvious swap, but is there anything I should be concerned with?

you may need a different seat, I did the same thing with my 76 f.   it now has an early tank, with an early custom seat.

I sometimes swapped over the tanks on my 550F2 & 550K3 without any problems. The frame is essentially the same as far as the tank & seat are concerned.

The cb550f tank and seats are longer than the cb550k.  Probably cant use one item from each bike.

So, you had no issues with the rear rubbers lining up. Because if Egor is correct then the K tank would be too short. Seating is not a problem as I am installing a cafe seat and can adjust accordingly.

Seats are def differant [as already stated]. I found out the hard way, bought a K seat for my F and it won't fit.
