Why the buyer's remorse?  Seems like a fair deal. Did you try offering less?

Good Luck,

the guy wanted 1200 for it. i just didn't know what the old 750's went for. One thing is for sure parts are plentyful for engine rebuilding, a lot more than the cb550. i'm going to keep the frame my hardtail frame does not have a title.

Not too bad for a titled bike with a running motor.  Get us some closer pics of the frame mods, looks like they ditched the lower backbone tubes and gusseted the frame.  Has it been raked as well?

The breadbox filter and santee box would fetch some bucks if you're looking to earn back some of your dough, or keep them if you like the look.  Honda chopper guys dig those.

If the engine is fairly low mileage, runs strong and you plan on using the frame, and it is titled, no.

any running titled honda cbfour in this area would bring at least that much, your new family member looks really nice too.

it has been raked 5 degrees so the the guy i bought it from told me.i'll take some more pics tonight.my plans are to go full chopper with it. the fellow i bought it from was a little misinformed somebody told him honda made aftermarket chopper kits and that it was put on from dealers and that it was done to this bike. i'm not a expert but????.thanks for all the input.also will any 550 stuff work on these like throttle/switch controls, wiring, coils, and any other stuff that doesn't directly deal with the engine besides coils that i haven't mentioned. thanks again you guys have been great help in making my purchase all better.

From the moment that you haven't been hidden any important info on the bike, what you see is what you get, thus it is impossible to get ripped off.

Maybe you wanted to ask whether you had paid too much?

FWIW, that price seems fair to me.

If it runs like most 73s and half as long, you can look back in 5 years (or more), and say.. couple hinfed a year for a good bike, ueah, it was worth it..

Next time you run into someone with a new bike, ask how much a month they are paying..

These days if you can pick up a 750cc bike with a clean title, runs, and looks as good as yours, 1000 is pretty fair. I have seen stock 750's go for much more than you paid.

Nice bike! and if you want a chopper, you're almost there. Would have been an OK deal around here...
