The book is worth it.  The Haynes and Clymer are close to worthless in comparison.  Honda Service manual I would keep, but Mark's book is well worth the dollars.  In fact, with the right coupon code from LuLu, you can get it for under $90 shipped.
I need help moving my project bike from Wisconsin to Seattle, WA.  Willing to pay well.  Contact if interested.

If you're rebuilding the engine, wiring, wheels, frame, fork, on a K0-K6 and want to learn a lot of arcane CB750 lore the book is invaluable. Lots of color photos, great tuning tips, and simple upgrades you can make.
Coverage of the F-series, particularly the 77-78 is scant however.
It won't help a lot if you're trying to restore a bike to "factory correctness", it doesn't really cover the subtle cosmetic changes over the model years but it goes into great detail about differences in the engines, wiring, etc.
More the working "guts" of the bike. (The important parts!)
Books like this cost more because of the level of detail, research, print quality, and low print run.
Do you have a copy of the Honda Shop Manual or Parts List for your bike? Get one here:

Excellent, Danfr!
Those offers are specials from the publisher, and I can't even get them because I am the author. They used to send them to me in an e-mail, which I would post here. Sometimes they don't: glad you did! I'll add it to the #1 post in this thread. Thanks! :)

I was a Honda dealership mechanic.
The Honda valve cutting tool instructions said to "turn the valve seat tool 1.5 turns."BTW some Honda valves have 3 different angles on the valve that matches the seat.

One dealership hired me to fix a bike because it kept smoking after 2 rebuilds
and I found out they had used a valve cutting machine for cars, that cut the valve at 40ยบ.
I went to another dealership and borrowed the Honda factory tools and fixed the bike. The bike was headed towards a lawsuit.
Anyway I worked for a week at that dealership and quit when I saw my first paycheck. I told them I could go to any Honda car repair place and make 4 times what they wanted to pay me. So I did.

So I meant to order the book last year, but never got around to it. I spent the money on more bikes instead.

Now that I've run out of garage space, I think it's about time I bought myself a nice coffee table book.
Do you think it's too late to still get a signed copy from you Hondaman?

I ordered some more early this month, after everyone ran me out of them: I sold more between Thanksgiving and Dec.5 than I had since July, caught me 'way off guard. I have 2 more orders of them coming, should be here in a few days. I usually keep both the hardcover and paperback (8.5x11 size) around because so many people still want me to scribble in their book. (?) I just don't get to offer the publisher's special prices, 'cuz they don't pass that on to me. :(

The hardcover beats the paperback in most ways, as it lays flat open from page one. I heard from our friends 'down under' that they can make the pages of the paperbacks fall out by flattening the spine, sad. The paperback pictures are ever-so-slightly bigger (about 5%) because those pages are 0.65" bigger overall. And the paperback is a little cheaper, for the tight budget. I think I still have one last hand-corrected Third Printing paperbacks around here, too, with the little cutouts of the corrected words taped in a few places. (Sort of a novelty to be reading along and find one.)

That's odd: I just tried it and it works OK. It is a Microsoft WORD file, so if your computer doesn't have WORD, it might act differently. PM me and I can send you a .pdf version, in that case.
