I haven't had any problems with Photo Bucket, but since I don't post a lot of pictures, most of the time, I just upload a picture directly to the forum. I keep the pictures small using editing software like ACDsee, and Paint Shop Pro that lets you "Save As" then you click on the "Options" where you can adjust the level of compression. I rename the image when I do this, so I don't mess up the original. With this you can reduce the file size (but not the picture size) quite a bit before you loose any image quality.

     If they are on your computer you can upload them through the forum. If you want to link them then they need to be online. I thought I had gotten yelled at before because uploading pictures through the forum actually costs the forum money? I am not sure on this but I remember something about that when I first joined up here.
