Geeze Derick, i envy the place you live in mate, i have a connection with the water as well and have always lived near it but being so close to a City it just doesn't have the appeal or the tranquility that somewhere like where you live has, i no you have never spoken of this but i feel it in the pictures you post on this site, you are one lucky man..

Very cool.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

I can see why you're drawn to the window.  It's not like it could sneak up on you.  I used to have a weekend waterfront cottage just around the corner from Pax River Navel Base. A couple times a year they'd break out their Hover.  We could hear it long before it got in sight.

Sweetness!! Rick Mercer got a hold of one in one of his shows and looked to be a complete hoot to blast around in.

Seaweb11, i know where you're coming from!

My father in law is Ret. LCDR USNavy of ACU5(Assault Craft Unit 5),  "Swift Intruders" - Camp Pendleton CA.  He had 30 of these LCAC (Landing Craft Air Cushion) in rotation in his unit.
My wife was one of the last civilians to sit in a pilots chair and handle one of these (then the attack on the USS COLE shut that fun stuff down)  :'(
I did get to ride shotgun in one of these.  thing could do 60mph and turn 360s at the same time.
still makes the hair on my b*ll$ stand up thinking about it.... :D
