cant put my finger on it, but there's something too 80's about x34, even if its a really nice build. maybe the TZ tail?

10 years in italy have made me a bit pedantic about "period looking". very nice bike nevertheless.

who built the bike?

Hi All,

How about Peckett & McNab (then based at Richmond in the UK), they made frame/chassis kits for racing in the seventies.

They changed the Formula for this Class around 1980 and I bought an ex-racing P&M CB750 for conversion to road use.

I've recently restored it. See photo.

Hello racers
About special frames
a member (hailwood) say that this is a Dresda frame
My dresda frame look like this

-Crazy thinking-what about changing the rear of the dresda frame and make a cb500r replica
-Not the tank but the rest
-don´t know what a Dresda frame is worth

That's a picture i scanned and posted of a one and only works honda CB500r that still lives in italy (although the last rumor is that the honda museum wants it back :) ).... the story was originally published by motociclismo magazine here.
So the frame is not a dresda, it was built in japan.

The idea to build is a CB500R replica is not bad though, even if the bike was actually a 650.

search for "cb500r" and you'll find the rest of the pics.

Peter, PLEASE don't cut up an original Dresda-Honda frame! If you must, sell it and have Dave Degens at Dresda build you a new frame to your specifications. And let me know if you want to sell the old frame. Thanks. RR

Sorry T, in fact it was a 749cc at the end of his lifespan. And there are more versions still in existence. They are already in the Honda museum.

The two CB500r that are now in the museum are indeed 750's the last one actually had a three valve per cyl head but they are from later "vintage", circa 75'. The one still in italy is from 72' and is 650.

Agree with RR, wouldnt cut a dresda frame. that said, the stock frame is pretty good, too, there is one guy in our championship that manages to turn lap times that match the ones form from the factory GP500 Paton. Sure, he is a demon rider but if you are just starting racing and you are planning to build a budget motor, the stock frame is more than enough.
